Xiaohua Bodyguard: The Largest World Card in the Workshop History, Delivered

2026-10-11 · ~5 min read · Xiaohua Bodyguard · card delivery · book toolkit · long march complete

Every previous long march was only paving the road for this one. On October 11, the workshop’s largest world card was delivered.

I. Infrastructure for a giant

The source file itself was an exam: 10,363 chapters and some 25 million bytes of GB18030 dump, every chapter header duplicated by pagination, sandwiching 1,854 duplicate titles, 4,950 ad lines, and 242 cross-site promotion fragments, plus twenty-eight space-variant titles like “chapter 6950.” After the cleaning script normalized them all, the world of 10,700 chapters and 24.4 million characters showed its true face for the first time. Ingest built 1,073 batches (avg 22.8k characters) with a 0.8% truncation rate; the pilot batch passed in 78 seconds, correctly extracting even the fact that “Mighty General” is a dog.

II. The n-1 rule and the 64,000 expansion

Two institutions in this march were written by the master’s own hand. First, the n-1 concurrency rule — cap minus one, leaving a slot for other agents. To execute it, the engineer probed the gateway’s real ceiling with staggered requests (heavy requests: about five admitted, the sixth instantly 429’d), then restarted the scan at four concurrent with zero 429s throughout. Second, the master decreed step-5-preview only — and the book’s later chapters burned the model’s reasoning harder: the 32,000 budget was eaten whole and not one byte of content emerged (batch 800 reproduced it). MAX_TOKENS was urgently expanded to 64,000, the new config took effect, and the raw files stopped growing.

The march’s resilience was also tested: the process was externally reclaimed once, the guard loop was killed by quote escaping and Chinese comments, PowerShell 5.1’s ANSI habit resurfaced — the last 163 batches were finally walked with foreground chunking (nine minutes a chunk, kill-and-reopen on timeout, resume-safe), 1073/1073 with zero gaps.

III. Eight rounds of merge-audit blasting

This book’s cast density set another record, and the merge audit ran eight rounds. Generic appellations (old master / mama / brother-in-law / sect master / pavilion lord / island lord / captain / guild leader), kinship compounds (Tang Yun’s mama / Xiaofen’s mama), same-family typo bridges (Mr. Lin Yi ↔ Old Mr. Lin — one stroke pulled the entire Liu family into the protagonist cluster), text fragments (“dual fire-wood attributes” mistaken for a character) — forty-plus forced splits, each verified against the source text. The only two large clusters remaining were the protagonist Lin Yi’s 169 aliases and Song Lingshan’s 29 nicknames — normal scale.

IV. Delivery

Validation: 0 issues, 0 warnings: 22,850 lorebook entries (1.817 million characters) — characters 777 (S223/A192/B212/C150, 131 women fully covered with courtship hints), world 8,298, script library 13,735 plot-event timelines, handwritten layer 40; six openings; NSFW full-scale on by default. The 31MB PNG read back consistent, and the delivery notes plus engineering files (config, cleaning script, book-specific junk words, forty-plus annotated rulings, the self-guarding loop script) were packaged to the desktop — reproduction and tracing both insured. One engineering note: the PNG is large because every entry is embedded; if import feels slow, use the JSON card plus standalone lorebook — identical content.
