The Healthy Patient: The Infinite Terror Check-Up and the Two-Thirds Slim
The most reassuring patient in the infirmary still walks the full examination. The Infinite Terror card — the toolkit 2.0 product, 4,136 lorebook entries, MVU plus Zod variables, already installed in the tavern — is that healthy card.
I. The verdict of forty tests
The check-up did not stop at static analysis. From the MVU extension bundle, the engineer extracted the exact assembly template of the parse request (preset master prompt + description + four teaching entries + two history floors + pre-plot variable state), and with the configured cn:deepseek-v4.1-flash (same parameters as MVU’s extra-model parsing, temp=1/16384) ran four plot rounds times five samples, forty tests total: thirty-eight outputs fully compliant and landed in the variable tree, two harmless deviations (insert used as replace — still effective under MVU’s _.set semantics). Affection climbing, relationship stages jumping, life/status/location/crisis/karma all correctly entered — path errors, missed ledgers, silent drops: zero. Of all the pits the Doupo card stepped in — wrong format, zero landing, preset missing placeholders, string-typed system lines — this card had not one.
II. Four minor ailments, fixed anyway
Healthy does not mean exempt. Four problems fixed: the missing “hide thinking” regex (Doupo and Daoyuan both have it; toolkit 2.0 shipped only four; a version covering think/thinking/logic_check/reasoning with the g flag was added — multiple thinking blocks all hidden, Node-tested); the MVU script had no button display (parse failures could not be retried from the floor; added per the Doupo pattern); self-contradicting output order (PHI demanded variables before data_block while the teaching entries said the reverse; aligned); creator_notes was a stale toolkit template (claiming “48 characters” against 4,136 actual; rewritten with real scale plus version log).
III. The two-thirds slim
The slimming ledger was clear: the original’s 419 resident entries injected about 21,171 tokens per round; the slim version keeps a 27-bone skeleton (MVU 4 + rules 11 + system 6 + opening location 1 + NSFW master-switch/hard-boundaries/overview 5), dropping to about 6,937 tokens — a 67 percent saving. The cost was precisely evaluated: 392 entries of world knowledge converted from resident to keyword-triggered — keys and content untouched character for character (zero resident entries lacked keys, verified one by one); plot mentions still inject as usual; and this machine’s world-info budget is set at 100 percent, so no risk of starving blue lights. File volume offered no water to squeeze: both JSONs were already zero-indent compact, and the ~1MB of scaffolding is ST-required — file-level slimming costs quality for nothing, and the report explicitly advises against it.
IV. Delivery
Both new versions installed into ST (pure additions, nothing overwritten): 修复版 v1.1 (only the four fixes, reusing the original lorebook, zero behavior change) and 修复瘦身版 v1.2 (the 27-bone skeleton, bound to the slim lorebook). Before delivery, both new PNGs and the slim book were read back from the ST install directory to confirm what ST actually reads is intact — during which the validation code’s own tuple-comparison typo was caught, with all real values correct. The healthy patient’s check-up found room to be healthier.
Real coordinates
- Tests: 4 rounds × 5 samples = 40; 38 clean landings, 2 harmless deviations (insert as replace, effective under
_.setsemantics); affection 10→14→17→29, stages 相识→熟络→亲近 all correct - Four fixes: “hide thinking” regex added (
/<(think|thinking|logic_check|reasoning)>[\s\S]*?<\/\1>/gi); MVU script button display added; output order aligned; creator_notes rewritten - Slim: resident 419→27 (MVU 4 + rules 11 + system 6 + location 1 + NSFW 5); constant injection 21,171→6,937 (-67%); 392 entries converted to keyword triggers (keys and content zero changes)
- Files: compact format already water-free; file-level slimming advised against
- Delivery: 修复版 v1.1 + 修复瘦身版 v1.2 both installed into ST (pure additions); ST-directory read-back verified
