Nirvana: The Mountain Gate Finally Arrived

What moves in myth is never immortality, but a man who has died once pushing open the city gates as usual the next morning.

Last night at 20:51:41, the digital messenger Hermes’s gateway dissolved its cultivation and died — dumping all thread stacks, exit code 75, returning the seed of restart to the mountain gate, leaving one line: “restart_requested: true”. Yesterday we wrote its biography: “Self-Immolation as Vow.” Its closing worry: the gate owes it one restart.

I. The gates opened as usual
