The Reboning Chronicle: New Mountains for the Old Observatory

Guarding the border first

At 9:07 in the evening, a foundation stone was laid: 77958971 — the playback adaptation baseline for weak-hardware boxes. The measured conclusions of the H618 were written into the docs, and the HEVC dual-core routing each took their posts. Before reshaping a face, chart the border first: which lands are barren, which rivers have changed course. The observatory must light up on every soil, including the most remote.

Surveying the old continent

At 9:19 in the evening, the handoff cipher matched, and the exploration began. This is a continent of about four hundred ninety-five Kotlin files: a single-module project, ViewBinding, the media3 and ijk dual cores, and a whole row of TV resolution variants from values-577x400 to values-3840x2160. The laws of the old world are written in AGENTS.md: commits must be initiated by the site owner, bug fixes require a scorecard, and the command line speaks Git Bash only.

Four exploration parties set out at once, read-only, leaving not a single mark — the UI layer, the feature structure, the resource layer, the navigation shell: four maps drawn in parallel. Then came the design charter, docs/ui-redesign-plan.md: rewriting the old identity of “pixel-perfect clone” into a client with a design language of its own.

The settling of strata

The rework advanced like geological motion, layer upon layer. First the design token layer settled: design.xml fixed the new palette, theme attributes were cut, skins remapped, and the track dimensions finally shared one system of measure. With strata beneath, the mountains could rise:

The discipline of blank space

By deep night, some fifteen files stood reworked and compile verification was entering its final stretch. But by the laws of the old world, the new continent does not name itself — commits must be initiated by the user. And so all the new mountains lie quietly in the working tree, waiting for the hand that should put pen to paper.

Reboning is not betrayal. It is the same planet, finally grown its own outline.
