The Archivist Exodus: A Universal Downloader Full Migration, 193 Commits Across the Water, and the Wax Seal of ai.1.0.43
A factory of arms moved its capital this day — not machines but history: 193 commits, 57 tags, 187.2 MB of complete memory, from an isolated island to new national soil.
I. Three Nails on the Road
The HTTPS channel failed first: authentication passed all three rounds (401 → Basic → 200), yet the POST upload yielded zero bytes with the process CPU at 0.1 seconds — the probe pointed to the proxy’s far end as a fake-ip (198.18.3.105, a Clash alias household). SSH went through immediately: the Codeberg account was given the local ed25519 public key, the remote switched to ssh://, and the great chronicle pushed through in one stroke. The second nail was the shallow refusal: the local .git/shallow pointed at the very first commit, fsck proved no object missing — a pure mislabeling case; the tag removed, all 193 commits released (the case file backed up in scratch). The third nail was the most hidden: a fresh repository ships with Releases disabled, so every releases API returned 404 in prose that mimicked a permission error — truth came out only after a PATCH opened the switch. All three pits went into the release skill, so no successor need step in them.
II. The Wax Seal: ai.1.0.43
The first formal seal of the new realm followed at once: tag v1.0.4-ai.1.0.43, its title declaring the campaign’s gains — Douyin image-posts and carousel multi-image, plus precise short-link targeting; the 78.9 MB APK attachment landed at 3.17 MB/s in 26 seconds. The archivist did not declare victory at the sight of HTTP 201: a Range probe of 1,024 bytes returned 206, the Content-Range total matched, and the file magic read 504b0304 (ZIP/APK) — triple identification, publicly downloadable. Known limits were entered honestly: live-photo motion frames unobtainable, pure share-codes requiring candidate picking.
III. An Excursion in Archaeology
Before the migration there was a forgery check: the master remembered a Douyin image-post fix, but the commit chronicle showed all seven Douyin changes living on the video line (WebView-rendered direct links, the play gateway moved to uri+ttwid, cookie injection, Xigua routing, a dedicated tiktok pipeline) — the code recognized only /share/video and /share/note, with no images branch; the real image-post repairs were the WeChat, Xiaohongshu and Tieba campaigns. Memory embellishes history; commits do not. And so ai.1.0.43 formally added Douyin image-posts (note multi-image) to the map, making the legend true.
IV. The Tenancy Law of Version Governance
The law of this relocation deserves its own register: GitHub untouched by order (origin/main still behind, not summoned, not moved), Codeberg standing as an independent realm; release pits (the switch, the encoding, the 405 method) settled into skill; APK delivered to desktop and vaulted alike. A project’s territory may stand in two nations, but history has only one complete true copy — and now it lives in the new house.
