The Sentinel Enlists a Second Time: Blindness Caused by a Crashed Machine, Forty-Eight Honorable Hours of Retirement, and a Rebirth with the Power to Intervene

The sentinel went blind not by dereliction but by a sinking ground: at 01:17 the PC froze, the hourly checks never ran again after 02:00, the scheduled task froze at 0x800710E0, and the stalled book at four in the morning got no intervention — one rebuke of blind watchman later, the sentinel retired in honor. Within those forty-eight hours The Correct Response completed at 409 chapters and 4.45 million characters; at 02:26 the sentinel enlisted a second time with a new script holding the power to intervene: knock continue on a stall, skip the completed, hourly rounds, and the finished book cedes its seat.
