Unsealing the Old Users: BPlayer v3.1.0 and My Follows
Every new capital carries one unresolved old case. When BPlayer migrated to qaqmin, the parting note read “old users cannot receive the same-version address fix.” This round, that line was crossed out.
I. Archaeology: where the endpoint lives
The new My Follows feature hit its first wall at the endpoint. The original follow-list interface had died (server 404), and even the bilibili-API-collect repository had been emptied — the engineer finally crawled into the third-party open-source client PiliPlus source and dug out the correct endpoint xlive/web-ucenter/user/following, then corrected three intuitive mistakes against the real response: the cover field is room_cover (not cover, not user_cover — without the mapping the cards show no covers), the pagination end marker is the server-provided totalPage (more reliable than the hand-written heuristic), the live count live_count comes straight from the server; the list also mixes in offline streamers, and the uid field needed for jumping to personal spaces is present.
II. Features and device
The new page is the group form the master asked for: Live now (13) showing all streaming followed streamers in full — more than double the six the home module serves, paginated scrolling; Offline (16) shown as a grayed group where OK jumps straight into that streamer’s personal space (tested: the Final Fantasy XIV official space page opened completely); live cards enter the room directly on OK, BACK returns with group state preserved; the top-right summary bar reads “Live 13 · Offline 16” at a glance. One box-firmware fdsan native crash was also diagnosed along the way (residual media FDs after visiting a room, intermittent, not reproducible, unrelated to the feature code).
III. Shipping and unsealing
Mac build EXIT 0 (994 seconds), four commits pushed to GitHub, Release v3.1.0 published — and the version number rose this time, which is the unsealing key: 3.0.9 users’ dual-channel detection hits the higher version, new channel plus higher version closes the old-user case from the migration for good. GitHub API usage for the whole round: about six calls; CI auto-ran once on the version change.
IV. Restoring order to the README
The master spotted the README problem: the v3.0.9 highlights sat after v2.1.0, the newly shipped v3.1.0 was missing entirely, and the version table lacked two rows. All four language versions were corrected one by one (added the v3.1.0 section, moved v3.0.9 to its proper place, filled the table — one accidental deletion of the v2.1.0 body was restored on the spot), the order verified uniformly, then pushed to both GitHub and Codeberg. Codeberg hid an old history: local is the rewritten history, remote sat at the pre-rewrite state — force-pushed into sync, all three ends finally at the same commit.
